Don’t start freaking out on me… I know this is the third time I’ve posted in as many days, but now that both of the houses are taking care of I’ve found I have a little more time on my hands to play on the computer… Don’t get use to it because this won’t last for long… :)

I was feeling a little board today so I decided to venture outside with my camera and take some outdoor shots. The photos below are ones I took while practicing my metering skills. I think I got some nice shots, but I still have a lot to learn.

I was really proud to finally be able to get a (sorta) clear shot of a butterfly… I’ve been trying for days and the little pests wouldn’t set still long enough for me to even pull out my camera.

And here I was able to get two butterflies… I love how the red wheelbarrow just adds contrast in the background. I’m really happy with the shot.

I think this is probably my favorite photo… I was so happy (ecstatic really) to get it.

This is just a different view of the dragonfly… I was chasing it around the yard like a mad woman … it’s a wonder I didn’t run it off.

I love the delicate color of the flowers and I wanted to test my ability to spot meter in the direct sunlight. I think I did okay.. nothing to write home about.

FRIED GREEN TOMATOES! That’s all I gotta say about that…

This was my first encounter with a hummingbird moth. I don’t like how blurry the photo is, but it was almost as hard to get a photo of him as it was the butterfly. I had to shot fast and review later.

The color of the flowers is amazing… University of Tennessee orange… GO VOLS!

Well that’s it for me…
