So, here I am, off of my feet and writing a post while waiting on dinner. I’ve been in the kitchen since 2 or 2:30 and it is now 6:51pm. I made guacamole, a faux white cheese queso, and chicken enchiladas. Anyone without an army of people to assist would think that time management was an issue. I’ll tell you this much, it wasn’t time management. Nope, it was liquor management. See it started off with a nice glass (or two) of Three Blind Moose, then it progressed to the finale of a margarita. I’d say that it happened somewhere between the transition of wine and margarita that time began to slip away.
Between all that I managed to order some new instruments, argue with the misses, and feed the dog food that he didn’t need. Overall, I managed to somehow be productive while being selfish. Works out rather good I’d say.
Today started off early. 5am is early for a day off, but when the Baby Whisperer is on the way, you gotta do what you gotta do. So I did my round of chores and the day began.
We dropped off Margaret’s car to the auto shop, then we grabbed a bite to eat, and from there headed home. I got some laundry going while Margaret vacuumed and then I assisted in the vacuuming while she got the bed ready to be made. We’re an awesome team. From that point we finished up and were happy that all we had to do for the rest of the day was relax. That wasn’t so unfortunately. I got a wild hair and decided to walk the dog for a walk around the block (ended up being 45 minutes of walking till he pooped) and when I got back I started in the kitchen.
The kitchen is a wondrous place, especially ours. See, it started with 80′s music and then went to baroque style music. From there the alcohol kicked in and so did the talking to the dog and the misses with serious “in depth” conversation. Cause you know, Lucas can say a lot with just the movement of his eyebrows……
…..So cooking commenced while progression slowed down. In the end, it results with me here typing this while the food is cooking (and sipping on my margarita). Okay, the food is now done. I looked out the window and the snow has managed to dust the driveway. I’m gonna have to eat, walk the dog, and then cool down before bed (while managing to drink a glass or two of water before beddy-bye).
Night peeps.
(and Lucas stop licking your wiener, cause the sound is so disturbingly nasty!!!)
Our little family currently consists of Darryl, me, along with our pups Lucas & Lily. We've been together for 14 years now, and we love every minute of it. I enjoy all types of crafty things such as knitting, crocheting, photography, sewing, and making cards. Darryl enjoys gaming (both PC and PS3), playing guitar, cooking, and just veggin out. Lucas and Lily just love to sleep, eat, and pets.
