Well, lets just say that after careful consideration for the dog, our finances, and added responsibility, I chose that the time isn’t right to adding another dog to the household.

That’s okay though, next year we’ll look at the idea again once we’re out of school and have some time for ourselves.

Little momma, they have wifi on planes now and I can’t text, so this will have to be the second best thing for now.

I love you and miss you. I know I’ll sleep better once I’m back home. You’re gonna have to come next time I’m traveling, because this is too hard.

Man, today feels so good outside. There’s no humidity and the breeze has a coolness behind it. Makes me want to skip work, make sun tea, and do some work outside.

The Many Degrees of Ass

You know, the weather forecastors should change the” feel like” temperature with the “ass” meter.

For instance when I walk Lucas in the morning, Margaret will ask me how it feels outside. My response usually goes something like this: It feels like musty ass outside.

What that means is that it’s humid and sorta hot. Now if it’s full on hot, humid, and has a hot breeze….then it’s just full on ass outside.

Pretty much if you’re uncomfortable outside, most likely it feels like ass.

So today we woke up feeling refreshed, but shortly before coming into work I got real sleepy and kinda grouchy. Don’t know why.

The Movie Up

The wife and I watched the movie Up last night. Let me tell you that the movie was so damned depressing. The old man’s wife died early in the movie (reminiscent of every Disney movie) and during the movie, he kept referencing his dead wife. To compound matters further; he also pulled out the most sentimental item every so often.

Talk about a tear jerker! I haven’t cried during a movie since probably watching the ‘mom’s death announcement’ scene in the movie Radio.

This movie reminds you over and over and over again how much you miss loved ones.

I went in thinking this was a comedy and overall it seemed to be written as someone’s farewell to a loved one. Very sad, will not ever purchase, and will never watch again.

On a lighter note, I’d suggest watching the skit from the show ‘The Whitest Kids U Know’ about a commercial being pitched about a grape soda.

Windows 7

So I’ve finally got Windows 7 up and running. My only complaint? Dual boot didn’t work.

So I’m going to repartition physical drive C: and probably eventually try Ubuntu again.

Otherwise, it’s been a productive day. Got Firefox up and running with my bookmarks and now I’m trying to Thunderbird to the way I like it. Then it’s on to reinstalling Office.

I did get an update for my BB Storm and it’s head and shoulders above where it was.

Loneliness

You know, all this week Margaret has been doing school work. She’s awesome like that and takes it more seriously than I do.

But you know, it’s like I lost a wife and gained a room mate that keeps me warm at night. I really can’t wait till she’s taken and passed her test this coming Saturday morning. I’ve had some conversation-less coffee mornings and lonely dog walks all week. I, I, I, hell yes it’s all about me!!!!

I’m her “piggy in the middle….”

Oh man, it’s Saturday again. The morning started off with the sun shining bright and the wind blowing gleefully. We went to the grocery store to pick up some grub and on the way out: rain. That was very unexpected. So pretty much from noon on, it’s been raining and thundering. It’s oh so pretty. The roads are creating steam and when the wind hits, you see the steam blow away.

I have to say, it feels good to be relaxed. You get that feeling of: haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (with eye’s going to an almost close).
