It’s been a very long time since we’ve went on a date so of course I was excited to get out of the house! We decided to catch a movie and then grab a bite to eat, but it didn’t work out that way. Instead we ate at Puleo’s Grille first, which was really good food, and then caught a matinee of Wall-E at the Wynnsong 16. Of course we had to have the large popcorn (extra butter), large pepsi, and a box of chocolate candy for me. I was so stuffed I thought I was gonna have to unbutton my pants…

I totally loved loved loved the move! I thought Pixar did an awesome job convaying the sentiments of the main characters without the use of voices. They really utilized the eyes and movements to show their feelings and bring out their personality.

Darryl didn’t enjoy the movie at all, but he was a real tropper! He sat there with me (and about 20 children) for 1 hr and 30 mins without grouching once. LOL I just love him!

I can’t wait for this movie to come out on DVD so I can own it and watch it whenever I want to.

Well, it’s Sunday night and tomorrow is back to the grind.

What a great weekend this has been. Margaret wasn’t called into work for overtime and we were able to be with each other all the time. Saturday, we went out early and did a late Anniversary breakfast at Mimi’s Café. That filled us up so for the rest of the day we just snacked. Today, my step mom took us out to eat and that was a very pleasent meal. When we got home I fired up the grill and cooked the two steaks I had marinating from Saturday. Of course I had to take a taste and it was WONDERFULL!!!

So now as I close this post all I got left to say that’s off of the top of my head is: Watch the movie V for Vendetta and check out any of Dominic Miller’s albums. Oh yea, and have a nice glass of wine (or 2 or 3) and relax.

Today my Dad and Monique took Margaret and I out to eat at a new seafood restaurant this evening. It’s called Bone Fish. I have to say we were all surprised at how well everything was. The service was great, the food was cooked very well and the portions weren’t over the top, and the atmosphere was very calming.

I ordered the scallops and shrimp while Margaret ordered the Alaskan salmon with steamed vegetable medley. We both wanted the lemon butter sauce on our seafood, eventhough they offered I think 3 or 4 different types of sauce. It’s not too often you can get 4 people in a restaurant and no one complains about anything and this was one of those experiences. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) we both can agree on giving them a 9.

The prices are a bit exuberant for seafood and Margaret and I are very thankful to my dad and Monique for taking us out, that was a very nice meal with great company. Plus it was the first time I’d seen my dad in ages, so that was a plus.

Well folks, I’m gonna sign off and head off to bed. This kid is tuckered.

I got a call from my dad last night and he told me that he and my stepmother (Monique) are back home. He works a lot of nuclear jobs whenever him and the misses aren’t out galavanting around the world. Oh the wonderful life of being retired and financially able. Maybe one day when I grow up I’ll be able to do that too. I miss my dad something awful when he’s gone. Here’s a story for ya. When Margaret and I first started dating my dad got a job working in Japan for I think a year or a year and a half. Anyway, I took him to the airport in the morning and went to school that day. That night I was sitting at my dads computer desk and Margaret could tell something was bothering me and I looked over at her and just cried like a baby in her arms. I’m so thankful she was there for me. I had not cried like that since my brother passed away. I love my dad.

Last night was very fun. On the way home from work Margaret and I were talking about grabbing some Mexican or Chinese food, cause we were a little hungry. So when we pulled into the driveway we were like two kids getting home from school. We went running into the house, unloading our stuff, and being very giddy. Margaret grabbed me some medicine in case we decided on Mexican food. The medicine by the way is Lactaid Ultra, cause I’m lactose intolerant. We decided on Mexican and we got some guacamole dip, cheese dip, and a small order of nachos. And it was mmm mmm good. We ate at this hole in the wall called Tekila Mexican Restaurant. I have to tell you, that place is really really good and not expensive.

After we ate we went to Target and bought a puzzle, a puzzle mat to fold it up, and a DVD of a cartoon called Drawn Together. The cartoon is vulgar, but sometimes funny. We’re in the consensus that this cartoon tries so hard to be shocking that it isn’t and it isn’t funny. Give us Home Movies any day.

That’s all for this evening kids.

The misses and I had a hankerin’ for some Chinese food this evening. We went to our favorite place in Powell, China Garden Buffet on Clinton Hwy, which brings us to the fortune cookie.

For my lovely lady, Confusious say: It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.

For my lovely self, Confusious say: Before you can do something you must first be something.

Okay, let’s analyze these. Her’s is pretty straight forward. You know, the kind of advice a G.I. Joe cartoon would give you. Now let’s move to mine, I have to beg how is that a fortune?

TIP
A strong piece of fortune cookie etiquette: You never never EVER add the words “in bed” at the end of a fortune. If you ask me, that cheapens up a fortune and ruins meals. Not to mention, it makes enemy’s out of friends.

Alright kids, I have to go make a monumental movement.
