So on Mother’s Day our mom’s were supposed to receive their flowers right? No, instead they receive their flowers on Thursday, but here’s the best part.

Do you happen to see the difference here?

Maybe it was the florist, but if you look at what I ordered, you see lovely wild flowers, lilies, and such. If you see what was delivered it either looks like a funeral arrangement or a deranged Ferby.

The best part of it all? My mother in law received her flowers looking somewhat like the picture, but no card signifying what they were for. Now, from the Floral-by above, you see a card, but Lord knows what it says.

So overall, this is my last time with 1-800 Flowers. They gave me their big FU, so here’s mine!

Oh and the icing on the cake, I ordered the large bouquet’s right? From the look of the funeral arrangement above and what my mother in law said, they were small. So soooo, stupid.

Next time we’re going to call a local florist in the area and do things the right way.

It’s a really neat Samsung portable MP3 player that also plays video’s and tunes in the radio. How cool is that? Margaret remembered me mentioning wanting an MP3 player and she got it for me!!! It’s like the best Christmas present EVER!

Margaret and I celebrated the holiday by having our first Thanksgiving dinner in our house. Can you believe it? We’ve lived here for 3 years (I think) and we’ve never had a Thanksgiving meal at home. Anyway, we started prepping yesterday evening and today was a blast. We woke up and had a little bit of breakfast and then we started cooking.

I have to tell ya, for a first time Thanksgiving meal ever, it was AWESOME!!!

There’s nothing we’d change, well maybe let the green beans thaw for the green bean casserole, but other than that, nothing.

The turkey was juicy and not dry anywhere thanks to the recipe by Alton Brown.

Today was flat out awesome. I hope everyone else’s was the same.

With that, I hope everyone had a great New Years eve and didn’t party too hard and woke up sick throwing up this morning.

Not only does this Monday signify a first day in the year but also the first day in a week long celebration of my wifes birth. Her birthday is on January 4th and she’ll be 29 this year. She’s excited on turning 30, I have no idea why, especially since she tried to find gray hairs on her head. I think she’s the only person I know of that enjoys growing old. For me, I can’t wait to be retired and then passing on to be with my eternal family and being with my wife forever.

I do have some good news though. Last Friday with a helpful suggestion from my brother-in-law John, I have a job to go to on Tuesday. Truly a blessing. 2006 was quite a year. Emotionally not a good one, but spiritually an awesome one. My wife has been with me through so much I don’t know how I’d repay her. She’s been with me through my dad going over sea’s, two of my grandmothers passing, and just recent my brother. I’ve been there for her when her last grandmother passed. I can tell you all, it’ll be hard when our parents start passing. That is something we all dread, because parents are our guiding light when our judgment is foggy. Like a beacon. One thing I can tell though, we have more angels around us more than ever looking out for us.

I can tell that 2007 will be a good year. To me all the heartache and hardships we suffered were tests by God to reaffirm our faith. I love and respect the things that come our way a lot more than I previously had and I cherish my friends more than I ever had.

Yes, 2007 will be a great year.

The job front is looking good. I had a face to face today and in turn went to a second interview in mear minutes. I’ve tested and sent my resume out like crazy. Nothing like whoring out yourself to get a job. Hopefully with all the prayers coming I’ll be working in no time.

Wow, now that’s strange deja vu. So strange, I normally get a fluttering feeling when I experience deja vu, but this time I didn’t. I know now where I am at in life is exactly where I need to be. No more griping on my part.
