I just want to say: Margaret, I love you very much. I cannot wait for our new adventure in life. We always looked back when we first got out on our own and saw how simple things were and how we didn’t have anything. Now we’ll be able to do it again and it’ll be even more fun than the first. You’re my navigator, my better half, and mein liebchen.

Yesterday Darryl took me on a date. It’s been a very long time since we’ve went on a date so of course I was excited to get out of the house! We decided to catch a movie and then grab a bite to eat, but it didn’t work out that way. Instead we ate at Puleo’s Grille first, which was really good food, and then caught a matinee of Wall-E at the Wynnsong 16. Of course we had to have the large popcorn (extra butter), large pepsi, and a box of chocolate candy for me. I was so stuffed I thought I was gonna have to unbutton my pants…

I totally loved loved loved the move! I thought Pixar did an awesome job convaying the sentiments of the main characters without the use of voices. They really utilized the eyes and movements to show their feelings and bring out their personality.

Darryl didn’t enjoy the movie at all, but he was a real tropper! He sat there with me (and about 20 children) for 1 hr and 30 mins without grouching once. LOL I just love him!

I can’t wait for this movie to come out on DVD so I can own it and watch it whenever I want to.

First the niceties: I seen my sister (who I haven’t seen in 16 years), I introduced my wife to my mom’s side of the family (they loved her and she loved them), and I feel more alive than ever.

Now for the passion and feeling: Margaret and I flew down to Dallas where my mom lives, because of my little brother’s passing. It was weird though, because I kept looking around for him to show up. When you have 3 little brothers, it’s hard knowing that there’s only 2 now. Very strange and very hard. It felt/feels like a puzzle piece was/is missing from making things complete. I miss my little brother. I did notice a change in my mom however. I noticed she needs and wants family around more and that makes me feel real good. I never felt the presence from her like I did these past few days. What an awesome feeling. Also, my step dad and I get along so much better now than we did when I was a youngster growing up. His name is Terry and he is such a kind, caring soul that is very generous. I can honestly say now, that I love my step-dad and mean it (instead of saying that I just like him). Everything was very synchronistic. Personally, I feel that my little brother Steven’s passing was his way of bringing us all together. An important lesson I learned was how important family is. This whole time I thought Margaret was all the family I needed, but after this, I know in my soul that she is part of me, but I need family too. What an eye opener. I’m sad, because I lost a brother, but happy because of what he did for me. It was like his final personal message to everyone he knew and loved. I know I grew up quite a bit from all this.

Steven I’ll miss you forever just like I miss my older brother Duane. I love you and will pray and talk to you everynight as I have since your passing. I miss you so much and am very happy to have talked to you one last time prior to Thanksgiving. You’re very much like me, spiritual, a dreamer, and always searching. I can’t wait till we’re all one big family again. You made me a better person.

What a great weekend this has been. Margaret wasn’t called into work for overtime and we were able to be with each other all the time. Saturday, we went out early and did a late Anniversary breakfast at Mimi’s Café. That filled us up so for the rest of the day we just snacked. Today, my step mom took us out to eat and that was a very pleasent meal. When we got home I fired up the grill and cooked the two steaks I had marinating from Saturday. Of course I had to take a taste and it was WONDERFULL!!!

So now as I close this post all I got left to say that’s off of the top of my head is: Watch the movie V for Vendetta and check out any of Dominic Miller’s albums. Oh yea, and have a nice glass of wine (or 2 or 3) and relax.

With all that is going on currently in our lives, this will be our first uneventful anniversary. She’s at work getting overtime and I’m at home just sitting. I really miss her. I’m lonely. Maybe it’s the weather, maybe I just don’t want to be alone right now. Hmm, I don’t know.

I guess I’ll just nurse me this beer and surf or play a game.

I’m outy peeps

I could tell immediately that if we didn’t find a place soon, my wife was going to be pissed. It didn’t take long. We tried another place and the line was out the door. So we decided to do our running around and come home.

When we got home, we were being civil to each other, but being really short about it. She asked me to come up stairs and I told her I didn’t want to because I didn’t want her being mad at me, so we crawled back into bed and she proceeded to “start the day over” with me. She was being so sweet and loving and I wasn’t having any of it. I was upset and damnit I wasn’t ready to behave.

So here I am now, just sitting by myself, because I was being a stubborn ass. I think I’m gonna go get some food.
